Recently, the members of our Special Student Association (SSA) took a well-deserved break from the grueling heat of South Florida training for a weekend of brotherhood, nature, and relaxation in Kissimmee, Florida.

At Moy Yee Hop Ving Tsun Kung Fu, we often speak about "Kung Fu Life." It is the idea that our practice extends far beyond the four walls of the Kwoon and into the way we live, how we treat others, and how we celebrate the bonds of our martial arts family. Recently, our community had a very special reason to gather: the birthday of our teacher and mentor, Sifu James Hindman.

As the end of the year approaches and the festive spirit of the Holidays and New Year fills the air, we at Moy Yee Hop Ving Tsun Kung Fu always cherish the tradition of gathering our students for a special Holiday/Christmas Dinner. It's a vital opportunity to strengthen the bonds of our Kung Fu family outside of the Kwoon (training hall). This year, due to the distance between our various locations, we were delighted to host a dedicated dinner for our fantastic group of students in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!

On May 18th, 2025, the Bamboo Room Event Space in Lake Worth, Florida, was filled with the vibrant energy of Kung Fu practitioners from near and far. The occasion? A grand celebration of Grandmaster Moy Yee Hop's birthday, a testament to his profound influence and dedication to the art of Ving Tsun Kung Fu.

As a martial arts school dedicated to the practice of Ving Tsun Kung Fu, we are always proud to celebrate the achievements and dedication of our students. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a beach barbeque to honor our students' hard work and commitment to the art of Moy Yee Hop Kung Fu. It was a joyous occasion filled with camaraderie, good food, and even better company. At a recent back-to-school event in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, students came together to organize a successful demonstration showcasing their skills in Kung Fu, specifically the Ving Tsun Kung Fu system.
